Support Bike Advocacy in Decatur!
Together, we’re building a healthier, more connected Decatur.
Your donation backs local advocacy, safety clinics, community rides, and more. Recent efforts include Jasper Street renovation consultations and a youth bike rodeo; repaired and donated bicycles to youth for the holidays; and set up and maintenance of bike repair stations around town.
Used children’s and adult bicycles can be donated to the club at any time. The bicycles are cleaned, repaired, and donated to community agencies for distribution. Contact us at decaturbicycleclub@gmail.com about donations. Bicycles can also be dropped off at the Decatur Bicycle Shoppe.
The Decatur Bicycle Club promotes the bicycle as a form of recreation and transportation. The club is involved in local activities that promote bicycling, bicycle safety, provide educational opportunities, and engage in activities for the public benefit. The club is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

We recently received a thank-you letter from Dove, expressing their appreciation for our bicycle donation this year. It sure makes us feel great to know our club was able to bring joy to a few kids this holiday season. Special thank you to Ralph Czerwinski for his organizational abilities and time spent putting this together. And thank you to all other club members who were involved.

Every year the Salvation Army puts on the Toys for Tots campaign with the mission that every child has a toy for Christmas. This year the club was able to donate 28 bicycles to the cause. Special thank you to Spin City Cycles, Decatur Bicycle Shoppe, and Schlabach’s Bike Shop for their help with this year’s donation. And thank you to all members and participants in our Amish Country Tour who make these kinds of things possible. Happy Holidays everyone!
